After selecting my language and region I was greeted by a webpage with a football field background, and a football player in the foreground. That is a sign of some good kairos going on there, with it being football season in the US right now. It seems that currently the ads are tailored to football players and enthusiasts, but it changes to the most popular sport that is currently going on in the different regions. Back to the US home page though, there was a video of Adrian Peterson (a popular player in the NFL) of the Minnesota Vikings. In the video it is snowing and the players on the team opposite Adrian Peterson (who aren't wearing Nike products) are slow/clumsy and can't seem to get a hold of Adrian (who is wearing Nike products) no matter what they try. Adrian easy avoids them with some fancy evasive maneuvers and scores many touchdowns. His team comes out victorious over the other team. What I got out of all of that is that if you wear Nike products you will be as good as Adrian Peterson. You will easily be able to evade being tackled by the other team and will score many touchdowns. Thus your team will be victorious just like in the video. The ad was mainly targeting young men who enjoy playing football. One last thing about the video, is that it is in black and white. What I got out of that is that even though everything/everyone is blending in together visually, you will still be able to stand out with Nike.
One last thing about the Nike website is that in most of its ads it have professional athletes. The ads with the professional athletes have the athlete's name in them. They also have some facts about the athlete which is none other than the use of logos.
