I'm scared of the Parking Lots!

One thing I've struggled with here at UVU is parking. The parking here is terrible. First of all it takes me about fifteen minutes to find a parking space each day, which means I need to leave at least twenty minutes earlier. Secondly, people drive crazy in the parking lots! It feels like you're at a drivers ed range. I can't count the number of times I've almost been in a collision in those parking lots, and I've only attended this school for a week and a half. I believe some of the hectic driving is a result of the fact that we're all fighting for spaces. People are speeding up and down the rows trying to snag parking spaces. We're all trying to get open spaces first. Something I've seen done and actually did myself is when you see someone walking to their car, you follow them. Then you can get their spot when they leave. Yeah it probably creeps people out, but sometimes you're desperate. I need to be able to get to class on time and that means getting parked ASAP, and I'm sure that applies to many other students. So really none of us have time to wander around the parking lot looking for a spot. Lastly, it takes up gas to drive around the parking lot for that long. I already have a twenty minute drive to school and gas isn't cheap. So the parking situation is hurting me financially as well. I just think college would be a much more pleasant experience if I didn't have to plan ahead almost a half hour for parking and not need to worry about dying in the parking lot.
