I was humbly flattered by your complements about my presentation and I wish you the best on yours. Hopefully your face won't be as red as mine ;) but hey, life goes on.
I forgot, however, to mention to the class why I chose to do a slide show as my "genre translation" (I was docked points because of it). But even though I know I can't make those points up by blogging it now or doing my presentation a second time, I still feel obligated to tell you here. It is quite obvious actually. I chose to present my topic, on media, through media itself. It seemed to be the only reasonable way to go about it. Simply saying that would have saved me those points...
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my presentation. And for those of you who aren't in the class or weren't there that day, you missed out. ;)
Seriously, you missed out. Best. Thing. Ever.
ReplyDeleteI loved your enthusiasm. ;) Had me paying attention anyways... =P
ReplyDeleteOk i'm short a blog post so i'm going to respond to your presentation on media to get one of these done. Like I said before, I thought your presentation was great. I watch way too much TV - we have tevo so I used to think at least i get to skip through ads, but i'm pretty sure this is actually making me watch even MORE TV. It's terrible.. I watch my little brothers go from Spongebob, to a computer game, and then back to the simpsons or something. Back and forth always... neither of them really reads. By their ages I'd read the entire Harry Potter series some half a dozen times, amongst many other series. I'd had several years of music and sports which, along with school work, took up a lot of my time and TV was an occasional entertainment. Now it seems that is my family's ENTIRE entertainment. So after your presentation I decided to try and go back to my old ways. So instead of grabbing the remote to relieve some stress and get things off my mind, I am heading for the piano or guitar, my new book, or going for a walk. It's much more productive and I feel better after... like i've actually accomplished something in that time and not just wasted away on a couch staring at a screen. So anyways, thanks for the encouragement! I'm going to try and keep it up.
